The following are case studies of companies that have used our product and increased efficiency and reduced their costs.

The Situation:

An Indianapolis based company had a wide variety of products in their company. They had an old Konica copier they used to make about 5,000 copies per month that was costing about 2.2 cents per page. They had a Panasonic standalone fax machine that was using expensive toner cartridges costing over $225 each or nearly five cents per page. They received about 75 incoming faxes per day. They had three printers, an HP 4000, 7 years old, an HP 1200, and an HP 1300. The HP 4000 was their main office printer for invoices and other documents. The other two printers were used for letters, proposals, and other documents by the sales staff. They were used quite heavily. Their total print volume was approximately 5,500 prints per month. After further analysis, we were able to determine that the HP 4000 cost about two cents per page to operate, which accounted for 50% of their printing, and the remaining two printers cost over four cents per page to operate. They were also looking to use color more in their business.

Analysis of Costs:
  • Konica copier.............................$ 121 per month
  • Panasonic fax.............................$ 75 per month
  • HP 4000...................................$ 55 per month
  • HP 1200, 1300.............................$ 110 per month
  • Total Costs...............................$ 361 per month


The Solution:

Since the customer was interested in using color on their proposals and presentations, we recommended the Kyocera KM-3232 copier with the fax option. We also recommended the Kyocera FS-3900DN laser printer which they were able to use for their invoices and other printed documents. The machines were strategically located to be used efficiently for the sales and office staff for copying, receiving incoming faxes, and printing their color proposals and presentations. By purchasing this new equipment, the customer was able to upgrade their technology by adding network printing and scanning to their office copier, in addition to having color capability which has made for more effective presentations to their prospects and customers. They were able to reduce their operating costs by $ 193 per month.
